Heddbuzz (I.R. Puffinstuff) One of a few Goya releases I didn't already have. Picked up the cassette from the band/label at the best-named Big Cartel page on the interwebz. Download code redoomed. Favorite track: Disease.

Master of Alchemy Misanthropy. Despair. Depression. Nihilism. These are just a few of the things that give rise to music worth staying alive for.

"Music is your only friend
Until the end"
- Jim Morrison

A tentative link: the backwards voices on the first song here remind me of The Cure's song Pornography, from the 1982 LP of the same name - an LP which has to be THE most musical embodiment of depression ever recorded. It doesn't matter if we all die... Favorite track: Misanthropy On High.

DenisTheMenace i think Omen is the best buildup ive heard in a song period. its a colosus of a song. the patience is worthy of what comes from it. cool thing if you didnt realize the song basically start at 4.20. I dont smoke anymore but if i were to smoke again it would be to this one. FADE AWAY INTO OBLIVION Favorite track: Omen: I. Strange Geometry, II. Fade Away, III. Life Disintegrates.

about

"'Harvester Of Bongloads' is a relentless listen meant to touch the listener’s most primordial inclinations. Goya’s best to date and essential to anyone’s collection that likes it HEAVY."

"'Harvester …' hits with full precision and presents us a band that still relevant, powerful and soulful."
stoneduniondoomed.wordpress.com/2017/01/12/review-goya-harvester-of-bongloads-2017/

"Small wonder in the midst of our current political nightmare that Goya would drop a jewel heralding the end, before escaping in the smoky haze of their own retreat."
thesludgelord.blogspot.co.uk/2017/01/album-review-goya-harvester-of-bongloads.html?m=1

"This album sees Goya finally come of out of the shadows from their more famous peers and to stake a claim for one of the best Doom Metal bands around."
outlawsofthesun.blogspot.com/2017/02/goya-harvester-of-bongloads-album-review.html

"It's one Hell of an album, in short, with Goya utterly rejecting the impulse to rehash old territory that claims and drags down so many promising doom bands."

"There is a certain groove and atmosphere made by this album that just sucks you in because it is so cohesive."
abusementparkblog.wordpress.com/2017/02/17/fade-away-into-oblivion/

"Harvester of Bongloads, despite the slightly dodgy title, has a lot of depth, maturity and quality content on it. Black Sabbath, Electric Wizard and Sleep are the obvious references here…fans of these bands should lap up what Goya do, especially as they do it so well."
wonderboxmetal.com/2017/02/27/goya-harvester-of-bongloads-review/

"...there is a kind of universality in their lyrics. Regarding their hate, they do not make any assumptions based on races, beliefs or genders: it’s not about « you » as an individual, but about the whole society."

"'Harvester of Bongloads' is an album of superb new grooves and in Desert Psychlist's considered opinion is Goya's finest hour to date."
stonerking1.blogspot.co.uk/2017/03/goya-harvester-of-bongloads-review.html

"Harvester of Bongloads, loathing and consuming low end rule the day, and Owens‘ post-Jus Oborn vocal delivery tops the maddening wizard-doom roll with a thick-smoke haze that could hardly be more of a fit..."
theobelisk.net/obelisk/2017/03/17/goya-harvester-of-bongloads-review/

"Goya are forging ahead with their own sound and fully deserve to be mentioned alongside Sleep and Electric Wizard. That is how good I think this album is."
stonerhive.blogspot.com/2017/03/goya-harvester-of-bongloads.html

"Clocking in at just under 45 minutes, Harvester of Bongloads is an album you can and will want to spin again and again. An excellent album that is forcing me to catch up on their back catalog of work!"

"This is solid stoner metal, coming in and weaving its way into the listener’s ear with distortion and a physical heaviness...With terrific mood, heaviness, and groove, Goya have made one catchy record."

Doom metal from the desert. Sounds like 500 watts of tubes coming out of 24 speakers in a 15-passenger van.
